A record and teaching aid.
PCI Diary helps you keep and revisit your cases. It does not diagnose, measure, recommend treatment or replace a clinical record or professional judgement.
1. About these terms
PCI Diary is developed by Dr. Kunal Ajay Patankar. These terms apply to your use of the app and pcidiary.in. By using them, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
The app is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Availability, supported devices, features and any price will be described in the relevant store listing. Store-specific licence terms and policies also apply to downloads and transactions made through that store.
2. Intended use
The app is for medical professionals to maintain a personal case diary and teaching collection. It is not an electronic medical record system, diagnostic device, treatment-planning system or emergency service. Do not use it as your only record of patient care or as a source of clinical instructions.
3. Your responsibilities
- Use the app only when authorised to capture, retain and share the material involved, in accordance with patient permissions, institutional policy and applicable requirements.
- Check masking before saving and review images, notes, dictated text, captions and cards before sharing. Removing screen text does not guarantee anonymity.
- Do not enter patient identifiers into free text or spoken debriefs. You are responsible for the content you record and the destinations you choose when sharing.
- Keep your phone, app lock, device backups and Google account secure. Do not capture while doing so would interfere with safe clinical care.
- Do not misuse the app or website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with their operation, or infringe another person’s rights.
4. Your content
You retain the rights you have in your case content. Using PCI Diary does not transfer ownership of that content to the developer. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to use it. The optional services you enable process content only as described in the privacy policy and their applicable terms.
5. Speech, AI and third-party services
Transcription and AI-generated suggestions can contain errors, omissions or invented details, including incorrect devices, measurements or clinical statements. Review them against your own knowledge and original record. You are responsible for deciding whether to use or correct any suggestion.
AI tidying is optional and requires consent. It sends the debrief’s recording and text to Google’s Gemini through Firebase, and does not change your case until you select Use this. Your original words are kept.
Google Drive backup, AI services, device operating systems, email providers and app stores are provided by third parties. Their availability, quotas, charges and terms are outside our control. Enabling a service does not create a guarantee that it will always be available.
6. Backups and loss of data
Your case collection is stored on your phone. We do not hold a server copy and cannot recover a lost collection for you. Maintain backups or exports, check that they complete, and verify a restore before relying on it. A lost or damaged phone, removal of the app, storage failure or interrupted backup can result in loss of data.
Deleting local content does not necessarily delete historical backups, device backups, exports or copies you have shared. You manage those copies separately.
7. Availability, updates and purchases
Features may change as the app develops, and compatibility may depend on your device and operating-system version. We may provide updates, change features or discontinue a feature. No release date, continuous availability or support response time is promised by this website.
This website does not accept payments or sell subscriptions. If paid features are offered later, their price and applicable payment terms will be shown before purchase. Store-managed purchases and refunds are governed by the relevant store’s policies and applicable rights.
8. Intellectual property
The PCI Diary name, app design, website and original materials belong to the developer or their respective rights holders. You may use the app as permitted by these terms and its store licence. This does not give you ownership of the app or permission to present its branding as your own. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
9. Service limitations
The app and website are provided as available. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every purpose or able to preserve every file. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from their use, including loss caused by reliance on unchecked notes or third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits any rights or remedies that applicable law gives you.
10. Ending use and changes to these terms
You may stop using the app at any time. Export or verify your backup before removing it. We may update these terms and will publish the current version here with a new date. Material changes may also be brought to your attention in the app where appropriate.
11. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact connect@pcidiary.in. For practical help with the app, visit Support. Do not email identifiable patient information.
