ABOUT PCI DIARY

Built to keep
the lesson.

A personal case diary for interventional cardiologists,
developed by Dr. Kunal Ajay Patankar.

The case is more than the final image.

A before-and-after image shows the result of an intervention. The decision behind it—the technique, the difficulty, the change of plan or the lesson—is easier to lose. PCI Diary brings those parts together in a personal collection.

It is designed around a short workflow: capture the cath-lab monitor, check the masking over names and screen text, then speak or type a debrief. Captions and teaching pins keep the details with the images they refer to. You can return to the case yourself or use it as a teaching conversation with a fellow.

Developed by Dr. Kunal Ajay Patankar.

Dr. Kunal Ajay Patankar is the developer of PCI Diary and the contact for this app and website. The product is intended for interventional cardiologists who want to keep a private record of procedures and learning points.

A few principles shape the app.

  • Keep cases on the phone. The developer does not operate a server that stores your case collection.
  • Mask before saving. Screen text is blacked out on the phone, with the doctor checking the boxes. Masking reduces exposure; it does not make every image or note anonymous.
  • Keep the doctor in control. AI tidying is optional, asks for consent and applies nothing until the doctor selects Use this.
  • Keep a copy you control. Optional backup uses your own Google Drive; export provides an alternative.
  • Keep the purpose clear. PCI Diary is a record and teaching aid, not a tool that diagnoses, measures or recommends treatment.

Coming soon to both stores.

PCI Diary is being prepared for iOS and Android. The homepage will link to the App Store and Google Play when the app is available. The store listings will specify supported devices, features and any price.
